Recently, the Quality Inspection Standard for 3D Printing revealing-revealing-Sound Barrier Engineering for Traffic Engineering, co-edited by Suzhou Port and Navigation Center and Suzhou Ring Expressway Company, was approved and published by Jiangsu Comprehensive Transport Society, and officially published by Standards Press of China, which will be officially implemented in March 2022. This standard is the first quality inspection basis for 3D-printed revealings and sound barriers of inland waterways in China.
In 2021, Suzhou Port and Navigation Center led the establishment of the establishment group, relying on the Suzhou-Shen Outer Port Line (Jiangsu section) waterway regulation project and the Suzhou Ring Highway sound barrier project, put forward the quality inspection requirements of 3D printed revealings and sound barrier components for traffic engineering, and carried out standard research accordingly.
During this period, Suzhou Port and Shipping Center, Water Transport Index, CWB, Huashe Design Group and Invision Construction Technology Co., Ltd. cooperated with each other to conduct field research and organize experts to carry out project approval and demonstration, so as to ensure that the standard formulation was not only legal and compliant, but also demonstrated with examples.
In December 2021, the quality inspection standard of 3D printing revealing-revealing-sound barrier Engineering for Traffic Engineering passed the technical review of Jiangsu Comprehensive Transportation Society. The standard was officially released by the Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Integrated Transportation in January 2022 and will be implemented in March.
Suzhou city centre in port and waterway administration officials said that the implementation of the standard, further improve the current traffic engineering quality inspection standards, not only fill the blank of the industry and provides the corresponding engineering completed project completion inspection and acceptance of work guidelines, but also help further popularization and application in traffic engineering construction of 3 d printing technology, to promote low-carbon green industry sustainable development.
According to Suzhou Daily, since 2019, Suzhou has applied 3D printing technology to the construction of transportation facilities.
At the end of November 2019, a 432m-long secondary bank protection was completed in Wujiangtun Village section of the Sushen Outer Port Line by 3D printing technology. The process realizes the automatic production of the revetment structure, makes the construction waste be recycled, and saves the labor cost. The bank protection made by 3D printing has good integrity and smooth shape, which plays an important role in creating a new channel of "beauty of water, beauty of shore and beauty of environment". In May 2020, 13 groups of featured landscape sketches made by 3D printing technology became a major attraction of the "Floral Channel" in Suzhou Canglang New Town section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
In December 2019, Suzhou Ring Expressway Company took the lead in applying 3D printing technology to the construction of sound barriers on expressways, and completed the construction of a 70-meter-long test section. On this basis, Suzhou Ring Highway Company optimized the sound barrier reflector into a wavy shape to further enhance the noise reduction effect. The improved 3D-printed sound barrier is 370 meters long, featuring low carbon, environmental protection and beautiful appearance, which effectively solves the noise problem that has plagued the surrounding residents for many years.
